We love a good destination wedding, and there's nothing better than a romantic beach getaway. This week, we're saying "Aloha!" with the Hawaiian wedding of our featured couple, Courtney & Brett. Taking place at the luxury oceanside resort The Fairmont Orchid on the northwestern side of the Big Island, their special day was beautifully photographed by Whitney of Something Minted Photography. White sand beaches, blue skies, and postcard views of the ocean were the setting for the ceremony and reception, creating a picture perfect setting. Not only was the scenery incredible, so was their entire wedding day setup. Bright florals, soft colors, and curated elegance came together for a style and design to obsess over. We hope you enjoy this week's featured wedding! You'll be inspired by their tropical getaway, dreaming of planning your beach wedding in no time.
Courtney & Brett opted for a first look prior to the main event, and this might be the most gorgeous setting for one we've ever seen. Lush green palm trees, leaves, and bright tropical florals decorated the background, along with a rock formation waterfall on the resort grounds. Our favorite photo from this part, is where Courtney taps her future groom on the shoulder, a massive grin on her face. Moments like that are pure magic- you can almost hear how fast their hearts are beating from the anticipation! Is there anything better than true joy and love? We don't think so. When Brett turns around and sees her for the first time, the look on his face is one of pure happiness. They spent a little time soaking it all in, just the two of them, sharing a few romantic moments before the rest of their wedding day bliss began.
Against a backdrop of palm trees and dreamy sunlight, the newlyweds took additional couple shots outside on the beach while the sun was just starting to set. It truly looks like paradise. These photos took place after the ceremony, but we wanted to share them first because they are too stunning not to! Courtney looks radiant in her long white gown with a lace bodice and low detailed neckline. Her hair and makeup are effortlessly pretty, and we're loving her braided twist chignon, that was frequently decorated with a white floral crown throughout the day. Brett kept it simple in a light grey suit sans tie, and white button-down, looking handsomely casual and perfect for the relaxed atmosphere. They have a very playful and fun energy as they hold hands and stroll along the beach. What a romantic way to take your first photos as husband and wife!
What a view! With the ocean in the background, the couple exchanged their wedding vows right on the beach, with family and friends present to witness. Courtney & Brett held hands and stared into one another's eyes throughout, listening to their ordained minister, the sounds of the ocean cascading behind them. Celebrating with a passionate kiss, they were pronounced husband and wife. Those in attendance cheered them on as they clapped and wiped away happy tears. Raising their hands to show their joy at being married, their smiles were genuine and triumphant, creating an epically romantic moment. The way they looked at one another as they strolled down the aisle after their ceremony makes us so happy we could cry! We always feel so lucky to be able to witness these special occasions, and we are incredibly grateful for the honor.
After their ceremony, the couple had an entire beach dinner reception set up for their wedding guests. Wooden tables were decorated with minimalist place settings, complete with periwinkle blue linens and tropical Hawaiian greenery and floral centerpieces. If there was ever a more perfect place to celebrate, we have yet to see it! There was dinner and dancing, and plenty of laughter. Underneath palm trees and twinkle lights, the ocean waves in the background, we can only imagine how incredible this wedding reception was. As day turned to night, and the sun went down, the daylight turned into a soft golden glow. Surrounded by loved ones, it was the perfect way to end their Hawaiian beach wedding.
Courtney & Brett look so happy here- we love to see it! Sipping cocktails on a beach in Hawaii, surrounded by their loves ones enjoying the sunset? Nothing sounds more magical. Being included into their special day as a small part makes us feel so lucky, and seeing all of their beautiful photos will continue to inspire us. Their wedding looked nothing short of stunning, and we wish the happy newlyweds nothing but love and happiness for years and years to come.
Used for their Hawaiian wedding, Courtney & Brett chose several pieces from our NANI Collection. This collection features watercolor beaches and palm trees paired with a vintage poster styled faded font. It's the perfect stationery collection for your beach or tropical wedding getaway. Fonts, wording, and background colors are all completely editable for you to create your best custom pieces. Please note: our watercolor prints are non-editable as they are hand drawn and created specifically for any given theme.
NANI Save the Date
Sending out save the dates is important for making sure your guests know when they need to circle your important date on their calendars. Themed versions are our favorite to help excite your guests with everything to come for the big day. The couple chose this beach inspired piece to mail out so their wedding guests could plan for their destination wedding. Measuring in at 5x7", it fits most envelope sizes and is incredibly easy to design. There is even an option to add your own images to the backside (not pictured), so you can place your favorite couples photo for everyone to see.
NANI 3-Piece Wedding Invitation Suite
For inviting guests to their wedding, the couple chose this 3-piece wedding invitation design. It perfectly matches the Hawaiian vibe, and makes for a pretty piece of mail to receive. This wedding suite offers the following pieces of stationery- an invitation measuring in at 5x7", a details card at 4x6, and an RSVP insert at 3.5x5". These pieces can be edited to fit all of your event needs and can be printed at home for your convenience. Prefer to have your invitations done through a professional? We recommend Prints of Love! They offer free 2-3 day shipping and will send you high quality products right to your door.
NANI Table Numbers
We are loving their tropical floral inspired centerpieces behind our table numbers! The colors perfectly match their overall wedding color scheme, and coordinate perfectly with this stationery piece. The pink vintage font and watercolor beach drawing were great for their beach reception tables, giving major tropical vibes. Available in measurements of either 4x6" or 5x7" (pictured below) allowing you to pick your perfect size. Place them in a stylish frame for safe-keeping and to preserve the look of your stationery pieces.
