Mark & Chrissy's Knoxville Ceremony at The Standard
In July of 2019, our featured couple Mark & Chrissy were wed at The Standard, a rustic venue in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee that offers large open spaces with exposed brick walls, massive skylights, and an outdoor space filled with leaves and strands of greenery all over. It made for the perfect place for them to hold their wedding- it was a beautiful venue, decorated all over with white florals and leafy garlands, and lighting that is simply unparalleled. Nashville photographer Sarah Moser was on-site to capture their wedding day, taking pictures and creating unforgettable memories, and we are so grateful she was there. It was a day full of romance, and happy tears, and we know you'll love it just as much as we did. You'll fall in love with this stunning couple as you witness their special day. Chrissy opted for two first looks- one with her father, and one with Mark. Her father's reaction made us tear up- he looks so happy and proud to see his beautiful daughter in her wedding gown. What a truly special father and daughter moment. They shared a warm embrace, and some happy tears and it looked so beautiful. We can feel the emotions just from looking at these, and we never get tired of seeing photos like this. Afterwards, she made her way to surprise her future groom, slowly walking up to him, lightly tapping him on the shoulder. Mark's heart surely must have been racing nervously, and the smile on his face is one of pure joy. It was emotional for everyone, as they wiped away tears from their eyes, and shared a big embrace. They were both elated to see one another for the first time, sharing a few moments, and kisses, alone before they continued on with their day. The couple also had an intimate vow reading, standing back to back, fingers interlaced as they real aloud their promises of forever love. It was a sweet and personal way to share their feelings and sneak in some private moments before the ceremony.
They then posed for couple's photos, and they are just so sweet. Don't they make such a gorgeous couple?! We couldn't share them all, but want to highlight some of our favorites! They are both so lovely underneath the greenery and the lighting on these is just beautiful. Chrissy looked stunning in her strapless lace gown, sheer veil, and sparkling drip earrings. Her hair and makeup were done to perfection, and it showcased her natural beauty. The final touch was her white floral and greenery bouquet, which was perfectly minimalist and elegant in design. Mark himself made for a handsome groom, donning a classic black and white tuxedo, with a matching bowtie and a white rose pinned to his jacket. They smiled for photos, beaming the entire time. Of course, we can't forget to share their dancing, where Mark twirled his new bride around, and snuck in a few kisses. In the daylight with the sun shining down on them, it looked almost dreamlike, creating these fairytale memories that will last a lifetime.
In front of their loved one, the couple had a romantic wedding ceremony where they expressed their love for one another and vowed to be committed to each other. Mark watched with excitement as Chrissy walked down the aisle, both of their smiles electric. Chrissy and her father shared a hug as he gave her away, where she then joined her future husband, holding his hand while they stood at the top of their alter, below the twinkle lights and between the leaved archway. Family and friends watched on as the two of them shared their love, smiling at each other the entire time, their gazes completely focused on one another. They exchanged wedding rings, and promised to love each other no matter what- whether good or bad, they'd take care of the other person. Once formally pronounced husband and wife, the newlyweds shared a passionate kiss, with the sound of guests cheering in the background. Raising their hands in celebration, they were met with clapping and cheers, the congratulations radiating in the air. Mark & Chrissy walked back down the aisle, hand in hand, taking their first steps towards their new life together.
Mark & Chrissy's reception looked spectacular! We love the all neutral look- white champagne colored linens, gold place settings, and white candles decorating the tables were so pretty. There were also greenery and white florals as centerpieces for a few select tables, creating a unique style to their reception setup. The final touch were the strings of twinkle lights dangling from the ceiling, adding some romantic sparkle. The night was filled with dinner and dancing, and of course an all out candy and cupcake bar for dessert. We can't forget the two tiered white cake, with white roses and garlands of greenery scattered throughout. The couple cut into their wedding cake, laughing and feeding one another pieces. Mark & Chrissy looked so happy, and we can only imagine how wonderful they both felt. As the night went on, they smiled and raised a glass of champagne to one another, celebrating their new adventure as Mr. and Mrs. That's something to definitely raise your glass to!
The couple ended their evening dancing underneath the twinkle lights for their first dance and husband and wife while guests watched on, and they looked so in love. As the night wound down, and to finalize their day, they had a sparkler sendoff to celebrate their love and exciting new journey. It was a magical ending to their wedding day, as they celebrated becoming newlyweds. Being such a small part of their wedding was an honor, and we wish the happy couple nothing but the best.
