Shelby & JJ's Lovely Dripping Springs Wedding
Earlier this May, our featured couple Shelby & JJ tied the knot at The Vineyards of Chapel Lodge, a private vineyard estate located just outside of Austin, Texas in nearby Dripping Springs. Romantic and charming, the venues grounds are filled with large oak trees and wildflowers, and gives a dreamy backdrop that made for the perfect location for the couple's wedding. Everything about their wedding day was incredible. From the boho vibes, soft pastel coloring, and minimalist elegance, the only thing more lovely was the couple themselves. Their special day was captured in beautiful photographs by talented photographer @carhartphotography. and she was kind enough to pass these snapshots along. Shelby & JJ did not have a first look with each other, but Shelby had one with her dad, and these photos are so sweet, we know they'll make you tear up. His reaction to seeing her for the first time in her wedding dress is priceless, and the emotion on his face is just the best. Shelby looked so beautiful, we can't blame him for his happy and memorable reaction. They shared a few tears and hugs to commemorate the moment, and the below photos are just simply the best.
Family, friends, and loved ones gathered together outside to watch as Shelby & JJ exchanged their wedding vows. JJ watched with pride as Shelby walked towards him, her smile beaming radiantly. Her father gave her away, and she and her future husband met at the top of the alter, standing underneath a wooden triangle arch, beautifully decorated with two pampas grass and naked colored rose floral arrangements. The couple held hands, listening as their priest lead the ceremony. Once they were formally pronounced husbands and wife, they shared an electric kiss, and raised their hands in excitement. Guests cheered them along, reveling in the moment. The newlyweds then made their way back down the aisle to pose for family and bridal party photographs. We adore the below photo-their wedding colors were so pretty, and were perfect for a late spring wedding. The bridesmaids looked gorgeous in gowns of various pink, white, and champagne shades, with matching white and blush boho floral bouquets, just like the bride's. The groomsmen went with traditional black tuxedos and bowties, and we love the classic look. Standing underneath their boho alter with the oak trees looming in the background, they make a lovely bridal party who all seem so happy to be celebrating the love of their friends.
Don't these two make such a stunning couple? We are in love with these photographs- they're so romantic! Walking along the ground of the venue holding hands, they smiled at each other non-stop and enjoyed themselves as a brand new married couple. They way they're looking at one another is so lovely, and it's a beautiful showing of true love. The beautiful bride stunned in a strapless sweetheart gown, with delicate beading, lace florals, and a train with scallop cutting at the bottom. Her hair and makeup were done to perfection, showing of her natural beauty while also making her glow. The final touch to her look was a long sheer veil that cascaded down her back, and was wonderfully used as a prop in their photos. Moving away from the traditional black and white, JJ switched up his tuxedo look with a white jacket and black bowtie, complete with a matching white floral pin. He made for a truly handsome groom! We never get tired of seeing two people in love, and these photos show us exactly why.
Following their couple's photographs, the couple made their way to their reception, where tables were adorned with white tablecloths, amber glassware, and boho inspired floral centerpieces. Roses in shades of white, mauve, blush, and even light terracotta could be seen throughout, creating a beautiful and bohemian look. Their outdoor reception even had a small rock formation waterfall as part of the backdrop along with plenty of trees. There was dinner and dancing, and even a donut wall for dessert (how do we get our hands on one of those)! Although we weren't present, we can only imagine what a wonderful evening it was. As the night moved along, the couple had a cake cutting and champagne toast ceremony, where they sliced into their gorgeous three-tiered white and terracotta colored rose dessert, and raised a glass of bubbly to celebrate their new adventure. Guests cheered them on as they spent the night having fun and enjoying each other's company, honoring the happy couple for the first time as Mr. & Mrs. ♥️
During the evening, Shelby & JJ were treated to a slideshow of their relationship, as well as photographs of them as little ones, and even their family members through their separate journey's of growing up, and how they came together. It was a beautiful way to show just how much these two not only love each other, but how much they mean to those around them. It was a truly beautiful experience, and as you can see, there were plenty of happy tears being shed. It was the perfect addition to an already incredibly day.
Shelby & JJ ended their special day dancing for the first time as "Mr. and Mrs." while family and friends joyously watched. Underneath the twinkle lights and Texas sunset, it was truly magical. We know that their wedding was filled with nothing but love and happiness. Cheers to the Newlyweds and all that's to come!
