Retro 70's Styled Shoot at The Hotel Emeline
We're taking it back to the 70's with our featured blog post this week! Taking place at the Hotel Emeline, an historic, luxury boutique hotel in Charleston, South Carolina, photographer Sacia Matthews was there to snap all of the fabulous details. We were so lucky to have been included in this shoot and work with all of the other amazing vendors. It was such a lovely event, and we can't wait for you to see how it turned out! So pour yourself some champagne, put on your favorite record, and take a peek into this gorgeous styled shoot that will take you back in time.
How gorgeous does the bride look?! Her glowing makeup and long curly hair are completely flawless. The beaded crystal headband is a great accessory and adds a nice touch of sparkle to her attire. She wore a white laced patterned gown that had a bohemian feel with open sleeves, and a skirt with slight flow and looked beyond stunning.
The ladies chose different colors for their bridesmaid dresses, and they look beautiful in their various styles. Red, orange, and lilac work so well to match the vibe of the day. Each woman had a floral bouquet that had flowers in pinks, oranges, and yellows with a few white ones mixed in, and other plant elements for a fun style. The close up photo of the bride's bouquet gives a good glimpse into the arrangements beauty.
Pink and oranges were the main colors used on this tablescape, mixing in different shades to create the prettiest setup. The flowers used were similar to the bouquets and were surrounded by pink and orange toned candlesticks. Matching name plates and napkins completed the look, and if you look closely you'll see some adorably tiny succulents. White linens and chairs were great neutral accessories to allow the main colors to pop. There were also a couple of disco balls to really keep the 70's energy going, and to add more shine. The entire table setup is the ultimate in wedding reception inspiration.
Every single piece of this shoot was fantastic and well curated. We love everything and wish we could have taken it all home. Seriously, how do we get our hands on that baby blue record player?! The orange and pink escort wall made for the best backdrop, and was perfectly retro. Cute calligraphy half moons and a pastel rainbow cake were nice additions as well, and when it was all combined it created the perfect 70's boho style decor. One of our favorite moments was when the bride put on her white skates with hot pink laces and posed with the disco balls in for some extra fun.
The retro disco vibes throughout this styled shoot are so perfect! Everything from the ladies outfits, to the decor, to the retro items (the record player and hot pink roller skates are our favorites, no question) could not have been more amazing. A huge thank you to all of the other vendors who participated in this styled shoot- we loved your work, and we are so lucky to have been a part of this incredible day. Seeing how it all worked together was such a dream!

FARRAH Collection 3-Piece Wedding Invitation Suite
For this retro 70's styled shoot, we went with this wedding suite from our FARRAH Collection. This wedding invitation template design features a groovy 70's vibe and bohemian floral design. This template is completely editable, so we changed the colors to pink and orange so that this invite matched the decor. Stationery items in this suite come in three separate pieces with the following measurements- an invitation at 5x7", a details card at 5.5x4.25", and an RSVP card at 5x3.5". A matching styled envelope was also used here in this shoot as a cute little extra. The envelope does not come with the invitation suite, but can be found HERE. Your invitations can be printed at home for your convenience, or if you're looking for a professional printer, we recommend Prints of Love! They offer free 2-3 day shipping and plant a tree with every single order.
